Drew University's Pan-African Organization

Mission Statement

 

Our Purpose:


The purpose of Kuumba is to promote the recognition and appreciation of Pan-African culture and history to its members of the Drew University community and to provide a forum for the discussion of issues and concerns relating to all people of African descent.

Membership shall be open to all Drew University students and must comply with federal laws prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, sex, handicap, age, sexual orientation, or political or religious affiliation.

The secondary purpose of Kuumba is to assist in the organization of collective action on the part of Pan-African students when such action is deemed necessary.
