First Annual Beltane Celebration
April 30th, 2006

We were very happy to be able to have our first Beltane Celebration outside, on the Hoyt lawn. There we had (really awesome) music with Pagan and Beltane themes, including the divinity of nature and the spiritual and creative power of sex. There were palm and tarot readings, henna tattoos, and floral wreath making. A special thank you to On a Different Note for performing near the end of the celebration.

The highlight of the celebration was the Maypole dance, which represents the sacred act of sex and is very very fun. This year we had eight participants in the dance. Approximately 20 people enjoyed the festivities; we hope to increase that number through more effective advertising.

Everyone is happy - and tired - after the Maypole Dance
