About The Good Line

The Good Line operates from 5pm to 9am every day. The line provides assistance, information, and referral for students in crisis or having any type of emotional difficulty. We are Drew undergraduate students trained to handle a range of calls in a calm, caring, and professional manner. However, we are not counselors; therefore, our main role is to provide support, information, and referral. Our main objective is to act in the role of facilitator by assisting the caller in finding the specific help they need.

The Good Line is supervised by a counselor from Drew's James A. McClintock Center for Counseling and Psychological Services.

Who Can Call?

Any Drew student who is experiencing emotional difficulty or who would like more information for themselves or a friend about certain issues. Examples of the types of calls that are received on The Good Line would be: relationship issues, problems with roommates, problems with families, school problems, and coping with stress. The Good Line is an excellent resource for obtaining information and referrals to deal with any individual problem more specifically. All calls are kept strictly confidential.
